Day one, and day two:
So day one pretty much consisted of me driving. Overall I probably did eight hours on the road. And my back is feeling it for day two. No bueno!
I made it all the way to Coeur d’Alene Idaho last night. A few lessons were learned along the way.
Lesson number one, don’t leave your cargo bin door open for two hours while you drive I 84. Luckily, I don’t know how it happened, but I didn’t lose anything important.
Lesson number two, make reservations way ahead of time.
If you think you’re going to find something when you just pull into a new town at four or 5 PM in the afternoon… Not gonna happen. Cracker Barrel parking lot was my accommodations for the night.
On the bright side of that, I get Apple pie for breakfast on day two.
Day two, started with a trip to Lowe’s home improvement store for zip ties and Velcro straps. Idaho highway system has proved to be a good way to make my trailer act like a popcorn maker. I found all my belongings all over the trailer from all the potholes it went over along the way.
After our Lowes visit, Zeus and I ventured off to Find a beautiful park in downtown Coeur d’Alene along the lake. Downtown is very beautiful. And the park system here is amazing.
Zeus got to play with a girlfriend named Roxy at the dog park, and I got a good walk along the park sidewalk system.
Mission accomplished. Zeus is sacked out. . Leaving me to enjoy my Apple pie all to myself before I start re-organizing and anchoring things down.
