Day 2 in Yellowstone national park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
OK today I wanted the full experience. Today, I entered the park at 12:30. Waited in line to get through the entrance for about five minutes, which wasn\u2019t bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
About a mile into the park, I saw a bald eagle flying directly over the Gibson river. It was pretty awesome to see. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the Madison entrance, I proceeded up to Norris then to Canyon Village, then to Tower and Roosevelt. That area hits the whole center and north side of the park. \u00a0I drove over the pass which 8000- 9000 feet and then some. \u00a0I also passed by Mammoth Hot Springs.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Along the way I finally got to see the buffalo I was hoping to see. I probably saw about 100 all together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two very up close. In fact, I had to actually put the vehicle in reverse and get out of the way for a large male buffalo that was walking down my side of the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
In total I probably drove five hours in the park today. Exiting out the west entrance at 5:30 was a traffic jam.\u00a0 Ugh, people! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I just pulled off by the river and let Zeus take a swim. \u00a0He was fine! \u00a0The bear just sniffed his butt. (just kidding\ud83d\ude02)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
So all the driving I\u2019ve been doing is finally hitting me with fatigue. I think I will cut my trip and head to Boise so that I can spend three days with Sabrina and Hagen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another interesting fact is\u2026 Gasoline prices have been much cheaper in Montana. And averaging about $4.20 a gallon. With the cheapest being 418 which was yesterday. Today the exact same location had gas at $4.44 a gallon. A $.24 increase and one day.
